Technology Research

At Tyche MedTech, Inc., we apply a systematic, structured, step-by-step approach in order to understand user needs, by which customer requirements are determined and new product ideas are discovered. This approach yields medical products that meet FDA human factors requirements and results in customer adoption with a great market success.

We start with field research to get insights into what users want, need, use, and will buy. We apply observation and interview techniques to uncover and document under-met, unmet and unarticulated user needs which are later converted into a more detailed a customer requirements specification. We then methodically analyze our research results which are often utilized to develop or enhance intellectual property, direct related activities, and develop product strategies that lead to a better market success.

We think usability is how intuitive and efficient a product is to use, while considering user and patient safety and minimizing errors. Various aspects of user research are later incorporated into user validation test methods during development and/or formal usability testing. This testing verifies and validates a product design in actual or simulated-use environments to demonstrate that the human factors requirements are met. The user-oriented steps ensure that we have addressed the needs and wants of the users, their tasks, and their environments with products that are safe, effective, ergonomic, and easy to learn and use.

Technology Development

Steerable and OTW Balloon Catheters

For various interventional cardiovascular and peripheral vascular procedures, we offer a wide range of French sizes of steerable and over-the-wire (OTW) balloon catheters which provide non-compliant tapered balloons, atraumatic tip, fast inflation and deflation time due to coaxial construction, and the same handling, maneuverability and control characteristics as those of our steerable catheters for the steerable balloon catheters

Product Development

Retrieval Catheters

To catch and retrieve foreign bodies out of the vascular system, we offer a wide range of French sizes and catheter shaft lengths of steerable and non-steerable retrieval catheters with a loop or forceps

Steerable Sheaths

For delivery and deployment of various interventional procedural devices, we offer a wide range of French sizes and lengths of steerable sheaths.

Steerable Introducer Sheaths

For delivery of various interventional procedural devices, we offer a wide range of French sizes of steerable introducer sheaths which provide the same handling, maneuverability and control characteristics as those of our steerable sheaths

Interconnection/Instrument/Adaptor Cables

For interconnecting catheters/probes to a recoding/pacing or ablation system, we offer cables with a wide range of single-pin and multiple-pin connectors and lengths.
